Catherine McNiel is a mother to three young children who says she never has time, let alone quiet, to be able to have a quiet time each day. And that's a sentiment shared by many moms. Catherine's new book is all about finding joy in practicing spiritual disciplines in the ordinary tasks that fill our days. Join us for a lively conversation about motherhood in the trenches and how God meets us there.

Living a Redeemed Life is a podcast dedicated to encouraging all who listen to live in the redemption found in Jesus every day. Each week I enjoy a conversation with a friend—some old friends, some new—and we talk about all the things. Jobs and friends, spouses and kids, the writing life, the struggles we’ve overcome, the ones we’re still struggling with, and much more. And along the way, we look for how God is redeeming each circumstance to bring us closer to Him. It’s also a lot of fun! So sit back and relax, and enjoy my conversation with friends!

We often strive to be liked by the people in our lives, but author Sara Dormon says that if you're a Christian and everybody likes you, then something is wrong. That's actually the title of Sara's newest book and in today's episode, we talk about why that's not such a funny joke. Sara is a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and is an advocate for women and children. She writes to share the causes she is passionate about, and to encourage Christians to live out the call on their own lives. Today we talk about adoption and foster care, about unplanned events in life, and just why Christians shouldn't necessarily be liked by everyone.

Like many of my guests, Karrilee Aggett is a wife, mom, and writer. But more than that Karrilee is a firm believer in the love of God that covers each and every one of us, defines who we are, and shapes all of our relationships. Karrilee is also a pastor and church planter, and an encourager. In this episode we talk about the early days of blogging, raising children and facing the empty nest years and realizing that God still has a call on our lives, and answering God's call even when it doesn't make sense to us.

Today's guest is Michelle DeRusha, author of three books, wife, mom, and a faith wrestler. Michelle describes her journey as every day faith, but it's a faith that developed later in her life. In this episode, Michelle shares about her faith journey, her writing, and what she has learned from the heroes of faith...especially the heroes who are women. We end our chat with some great encouragement from Michelle on navigating the difficult times we are living in. Oh, and I also learn how to pronounce Michelle's name correctly!
